If you are looking for a counselor with many years of experience and learning, that would be me!  I am a passionate, caring woman of faith who loves meeting people of all ages, beliefs, and circumstances.  I believe that we all do the best we can, given our unique characteristics and life experiences.  Yet, we are responsible for our own actions.  I believe in a God who crafts masterpieces out of messes.  My focus is on accepting individuals where they are; focusing on strengths, and helping them find more joy, balance, and the calling in their own lives. I am in the Benson, MN office Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and in the Willmar office, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Do you ever wonder why certain things happen? If the hard stuff from the past has a purpose? No matter where you are at on your life journey, I believe it is exactly where you are supposed to be. It doesn't mean you have to like it, but accepting where you are at in this moment in time can help you move towards making positive changes in your life. I believe God puts us in certain places at certain times where we can meet certain people, who can then help us grind off some of our rough edges. Painful at times for sure, but out of those experiences can come incredible growth and healing.

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, and I work out of the Alexandria branch office. Besides the great education I received at UND, my life experiences have been some of my best teachers. I offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for the treatment of trauma and anxiety disorders, and I am intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages, and I provide therapy for individuals, couples, and families. On a personal level, I grew up on a small farm in South Dakota. I love gardening, reading, and eating. My husband of almost 22 years is my best friend. Our kids are out on their own. God has been good to me, even when I turned my back on him--He just waited for me to come back. Maybe he's waiting for you too?

Greetings! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and I have my Masters of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy through Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. I appreciate the opportunity to work with individuals of all ages, couples, and families. My counseling experience includes working with an array of issues: anxiety, depression, grief, identity, life adjustment, pre-marital counseling, family crisis, and marital distress. I strive to support each person in the best manner possible specifically focused for their individual situation. My deep desire is to assist those who are struggling and help them see Christ’s love in the midst of their circumstances. I have discovered that my personal background of being married for over 30 years along with having adult children and also recently becoming a grandmother has enabled me to relate to many people on many levels.  I greatly value the opportunity to join with those I am able to meet with in my Crossroads Counseling office in Willmar, MN.
