What We Do
Your first visit with us:
At your initial appointment, we ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes
prior to take care of any necessary insurance, financial, and/or
paperwork matters. Many of our forms/paperwork
items are available to fill out and print prior to your appointment if
that is easier for you. If you have questions regarding fees, payment
or insurance, you may also use this time to speak with or Mel.

When it comes to family and friends, the choice is
yours to let them know that you are involved in counseling. At times
it can be a healthy option to choose a few close family members or
trusted friends that can act as a support system, and be accountability
partners for you outside of the counseling office.
We live in a small community, what happens if I see my counselor
outside of Crossroads?
In order to protect you and your
privacy, your counselor will not initiate contact or conversation in
places outside of Crossroads. If you feel comfortable making first
contact, your counselor will take that as a onetime permission to
acknowledge and respond to you in that setting.
How long will I have to be in counseling?
This is a question
best asked to and discussed with your specific counselor. Each
individual coming into counseling has a different situation to address;
as well as a set of tools, skills, and supports they are already
using. There are many factors that play into the length of a
counseling journey, and your counselor will be able to help you figure
out the approximate length of time based upon where you are at.
